    Overheating

Guys, LR put this upgrade on the MY99 or MY00 and up models. Datatek share this MOD, for a lot of reasons... In the UK weather, for what I read, you almost don´t need a Viscous fan... With Datatek mod, you can "almost" remove your viscous fan... Did you know when your viscous fan go duff...

    Overheating

Yes they run...... if you have a duff viscous fan:confused:
  3. T

    Overheating

Yes they have, if you a MY99 or MY00. They use AC fan Max speed, if the temp in engine go after 100º C. (In diesel engine).

    EAS Mind of its own

Tanks @wammers and others, I have be "fighting" with this issue since I bought it 5 years ago! (Also try with others used drive pack.... working in others RR).... Since "we" have Left and Right Hand drive..., can you please share a photo, where is this infamous white connector! (just the zone...

    Central locking issue/question

Hi Guys, exactly the same problem in here:confused: Nick. (I disconnect the aerial plug off the RF receiver... seems to solve it.... later no:mad:) But when did this mod, I also adjust the tailgate locks... now they are loose again and the syndrome return..... Thanks, now I know where to go.

Temp gauge @ 12:00 but aircon fans on a lot!

"good news" (you find the why they kick). Did you keep the fan clutch or "upgrade" to a efan:rolleyes:

    Cooling

It´s the other way, V8 are more thin vs diesel.

    Cooling

I know , you are not "hot", you did say "... just a thought..." ;)

    Cooling

Look, if you are talking about a DSE overheating in "UK", then you have a problem. stat, water pump, radiator, and the viscous fan (the usual components), one or several had fail. So the "solution" (they can go wrong, without warning), is to put Datateks MOD, for the AC fan, and put a LED or...

    thermostat for warm climate

You are 100% right! What I try to "alert", you can think you have a good working DSE (cooling), until you get in a Hot country. Thats why I alert the fan MOD, don´t work in here for example. (you towing with yours and no problem right?). Also read some of you in UK, run others LR without...

    thermostat for warm climate

Diesel, V8 are in here very, very rare (MPG and +- 450€ TAX/year) yes and no. We get + than 35ºC, but they are very dry. The "problem" of the RR overheating in here, is high temp, slow speed, and traffic. That´s why electric fans in the P38A had a 50% satisfaction. If you live in the...

    thermostat for warm climate

If it´s a fairy story, to me, and everyone who drives a DSE in August in Portugal, people reporting towing a DSE only with AC fan! Datatek I believe you, but why manufacters had sat or termo swicth, with temperature range lower or higher???
  13. T

    thermostat for warm climate

Sorry Datatek, but you are wrong :bolt:. Several users in Portugal had try, your "Mod" and did not work/like the result, has a viscous fan, replacement. Sorry, it´s not "only" me;), or my RR cooling problem. Also the Kenlowe 16 had a +- 50% satisfaction... Some report they can not handle the...

    thermostat for warm climate

    Don´t work here in Portugal
  15. T

    thermostat for warm climate

Sorry, but I don´t think like that: 1) I have another car who had a partially open termo, and did not have a viscous fan all the time... like our RR. And I have my gauge go ups and down in the same day. So it matters the opening temp. 2) My father in the past had a MB, that in hot days in...

    thermostat for warm climate

Check, as already indicate, your thermostat. (mine is like yours) if you want you can try: Meyle Thermostat 028 271 0005 (remember to make a small "hole"). But check and recheck your viscous fan unit. Make the "mod AC fan" by Datatek, but only for SOS. Good trip

Hi, Gearbox in place, did the the "VCU test" and it´s fine! Thanks

diesel, sometimes, wont start (when cold)

1)Did you try!?? 2)When you n€€d to change DMF and clutch.....

diesel, sometimes, wont start (when cold)

Hi! I really don´t found very "professional" (for what I understand) BBS did not answer what "units" is the water temp. This was a simple question. And sorry, I don´t believe they just "copy- past" the soft, and did not try to understand the readings (and confirm).... (perhaps its just me who...

    Riding High

Any news? I have the same problem, I did change 4 height sensors(new); new air springs and also with used drive pack (same result). Other thinks that I noted, and can be or not important, but I "share" for free:p 1 had a "fight" with pc to calibrate new sensor, the eas Ecu was "reseting"...
