Mine did the same. Was a faulty ride height sensor. Also, forgive me for stating the obvious... but have you checked the fuses :).

Also bear in mind that legislation may change in the future and we may have to put the EGRs back on for M.O.T's. Therefore I'd be inclined to get the job done properly so that you can "easily" remove the blanking plate in the future if required.

1999 TD5 manual 155K miles, no mods just regular service. With the usual mix of driving I get between 475 - 490 miles from a tank in the Winter months and around 510 - 530 in the warmer months. I've just blanked off the EGR but yet to complete a full tank since so can't comment on any fuel...

I bought the kit for my TD5 Disco for about £100. Garage in Crawley charged me £250 to fit it. These prices DIDN'T include the flywheel.

Just before you eventually move, organise a meeting and/or greenlaning session in your area and invite us all back for a drink ;)... they think they are already ticked off with a couple of 4x4's. Imagine the look on their faces if a dozen or so 4x4's turned up outside their property :).

Have to agree with the Union Jack or maybe the Cross of Saint George (easier to get right :))? If you do go for the UJ just make sure it is correct for your chosen viewing angle and not upside down.

Get an L.E.D. bulb as a replacement... should last a lot longer than a filament one.

On the subject of tightening nuts it isn't just the amateurs... I had my clutch changed by a "Specialist", drove 1/2 mile down the road and the rear prop shaft disconnected from the donut!!! The nuts hadn't even been put back on?!!

I had mine do the same recently... one of the height sensors had broken so was hanging too low... the garage just cable tied it back up in position and all was well with the world :). Check the simple things first...

For anyone interested it was a height sensor giving up. There was no signal from the sensor at all. Replaced it and all was well with the world :)... just got to get it through the M.O.T. now. Thanks for trying guys.
