    ACE ARB Bushes

Very opinionated of you mate. If you read my first post you will see that I am just suggesting an accidentally found method of diagnosing worn ARB bushes on ACE equipped models. There are a number of threads on this and other related sites where others have had the same issue of a clonking from...

    ACE Block Modification

Some time ago I saw, somewhere, that someone had drilled and modified the ACE block,to accept standard pipe fittings. Also the description of how to do it. Cannot now find it... Can anyone point me to it. Thanks Smac02

    ACE ARB Bushes

And to prove the point. Changed the front ARB bushes today and all is quiet again front the front end. Wonder what damn thing has in store for me next to do.

    ACE ARB Bushes

Think I've found an easy way to test for wear in the front ARB bushes on an ACE equipped D2. Been having a strange clonk from the front for some time but been unable to locate the problem. My ACE packed up today and the clonk disappeared. Once I'd sorted the ACE again the clonk was back. I...

    back door won't open

Mine did just the same the other week. Ended up stripping the lock out and fitting a replacement as suggested in a number of threads. Seems the small motor (one of 2) fails. Easy to do but costs Almost £90 for the part. The noise you can hear is probably the super locking motor.

Wipers stop 1/2 way across screen

Had same problem on an x type jag and as others have said it was the park switch in the motor, so would say same problem with the LD.

SLS raise/lower remote - faking it?

Just to let anyone who likes the idea of this kit I have now fitted one. It works a treat at the press of a switch. A well made kit, all the necessary parts supplied with easy to follow instructions and at a sensible price. Well done David Steve M

What have you done to your Landie today.

Today fitted the piece of electronic kit produced by member David Pye that lets me raise and lower the rear air suspension at the flick of a switch. Great for loading heavy items. Works a treat. Also finally sealing up the front sunroof after trying all the solutions to fix it. Given it up...

Is this the start of something big? 3 Amigos

Ha ha. Nice one ahaggar. Though I sense a hint of sarcasm The beauty of forums, one learns all the possibilities but not necessarily the answers, in fact too many bloody possibilities! Have made my decision though. Gonna start by leaving it to see what happens and if the same code persists...

Is this the start of something big? 3 Amigos

Today I ran one of my Disco rear wheels up a 6" ramp that I had made for my yacht trailer to test he ramp. Switched off and admired my handywork but on starting up again I got the 3 amigos light up! Reset the fault code of 02-08 right rear sensor. But immediately reappeared. Reset again and it...

SLS raise/lower remote - faking it?

If it's less than the landrover fob that'll do for me. How does 50 squid including postage sound?

SLS raise/lower remote - faking it?

Yes, could use one of those! Had to put some awkward heavy stuff in the back recently and lowering the rear would have made it so much easier.

    Air Con

Ok, But on mine it most definitely switches the air con compressor off, the clutch cuts out. Switching off the defrost button brings the air con back on, even when I direct the air flow to the screen. Would be interested to know if all D2s do the same. SM

    Air Con

The system is working ok. Checked the pressure in the system and it works ok when simply trying to cool the interior. It operates normally when not in full demist mode but cuts out when the demist button is pressed. I was under the impression that the a/c system not only cooled the interior...

A cautionary tale and a guardian angel !

A frightening tale, but not entirely surprised. When I got my D2 just a couple of months ago I noticed a clonk in the steering. A careful check over revealed the same ball joint badly worn. Knowing that the truck had done low miles since its mot in July, 3000, I gave the whole...
