Hi, if you turn on the ignition then pump the throttle 5 times it puts the fuel pump into "prime" mode and it should make a noticable whine, if it doesn't then I'd say it was the pump. :)

sorry i dont have tuning buttons above 1&3, it has a rotory knob to set the tuning

Hi i,ve got a 2002 Td5 Es 50'000 on the clock had it since january. So far its had a new steering box (it dumped all the power steering fluid on the floor), and a new fuel pressure regulator (****ing diesel out on to the gear box) A new ecu for the mirrors ( wouldn't fold in or out), All done...

Because the K&N filters are supposed to let the engine breathe more freely, my 2 sons have both got hot hatches and both have K&N indution kits, they are said to add up to 8 more horse power!!!

Rob, i'm interested as to why you think K&N filters are a waste of money? surley a filter thats as free flowing as a K&N cant be a bad thing??

I had the same problem last week, it turned out not to be a gear box leak at all, but a diesel leak from the fuel preasure regulator. It drips onto the right hand side of the gear box, runs down the side and looks just like a gear box leak. have you had a look underneath? is it only wet down the...

Did you buy the car from a garage or privately? I had the same problem when I bought mine from a garage and I got them to pay for a spare as it didn't have one, My local main dealer only wants 26 quid to program it.

My local 4x4 garage had a look this morning and its the fuel pressure regulator which is a bit of a relief! it had a new one fitted under warranty 5 weeks ago at the main dealers so its going to be replaced for free!!
