What did you do with your Range Rover today

Only to Boulogne and Le Touquet just for one night this time (not straying too far with a Range Rover :), nah, I'd drive it anywhere in honesty). The Nausicaa aquarium is really cool and the kids haven't been (although my wife loves it there so we've been a few times). As she's at a Butlins...

    Parking Break

Just been through this job recently and I can tell you that it is sometimes possible to get the cables out without a diagnostic. Basically ours won't talk to the handbrake module for whatever reason but it does operate on the switch (it's under investigation) so what we had to do was turn on...

    What L322 to avoid?

I'd agree Kermit. Although it is at the risk of sounding jealous. The L405 is really growing on me, I love the back of it, not madly keen on the front still and I do like the inside but there's something about the L322 interior that is more homely(?). The L405 is a very modern looking car...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I used my L322 to recover my brother's L320. That thing is fighting us at every turn and it's getting a bit tedious now. Parking brake module died - ball ache! Shoes and back plates knackered -have to press out the drive flange - Ball ache! On the nearside the top bush was seized, had to...

    What L322 to avoid?

Both of mine had DAB, I thought it was standard. I don't want digital quality adverts in my life so I don't use it. Paid just over £7k for my 2011 and that was from a dealer as a 'trade sale' because it was in need of a lot of work. Most of the mechanical stuff is done now and I do love it...

    L320 Sport Diagnostic tools

I have GapIID and iCarSoft. I use Gap ALWAYS on our Land Rovers. iCarSoft is good, I have the CR Max BT so it works with most vehicles but Gap is definitely my go-to for LR. Remember, you can also add keys and features with Gap if you want to like tow-bar wiring and PDC deactivation or...

    L322 Turbo Actuator stuck?

Have a read of this lot mate, I've been through it a couple of times now, twice with the TDV8s and once with a Discovery 4 SDV6. The TDV8 manifolds you can bond back together, the V6 you can't so that's yet another reason to have the V8...

    2008 tdv8

I decided that should be a thing and asked AI to assist me. What I have learned here is that it should in fact just have black wheels, I am wrong and roller skates are not a viable option even if we did think it was funny. Screw you AI, if you can't be funny be useful, you are neither currently.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

The 944 has near perfect weight distribution with the gearbox in the back doesn't it? That must have been a beautifully balanced spin to watch but not experience! My 911 used to aquaplane a little from time to time too, the wide tyre combo and engine in the back is something that stops you...

    L322 Security issues

It does but on the 2011 you have to hold the unlock button to start it and then once released it will roll the windows the full way down. I can't remember on the 2009 one whether you have to hold the button while they roll, it may be that way and if it is that could explain it. My old CLK...

    Park brake not working

Currently going through the hell of fitting a new one of these to a 2010 RR Sport and I can confirm that when it's removed or disconnected, the parking brake light is amber and flashes red when in fault. There's no way that car passed an MOT with the light on as the parking brake wouldn't...

    Apple CarPlay

I have done this same mod, it is involved but totally worth it in my opinion. Aftermarket is ok but you will loose the access to all the factory functions and the screens are often too shiny and reflective so it makes it harder to see in sunlight. You know where you are with the stock head...

It does a bit doesn't it? But I assure you that it's a bit more engineered than that. https://www.deadening.co.uk/products/dodo-dead-mat-hex-50-sheets It has really transformed the sound bringing a lot more bass forwards in the cabin. I didn't try it with just the new speakers so I can't say...

I turned the inside of my front doors into a 90's dance music video. Door handle cable broke the other day, but little did the car know that I was planning on removing the door car to replace the door mirror and the speakers in the front doors anyway, so... Huzzah! it's little tantrum...

Missing infotainment system in Vogue 2010 TDV8 facelift version

Yeah, that ain't gonna work, the one returning to all other modules is still swinging in the breeze! It can't done without buying some joiners, loops and the Y cable to get those to play together. It should be marked on the connector which side is input and output too. This is also critical.
