    S3 spring hangers?

    :DJust a thought when you changed the springs did you change all the bushes as well including the ones in the chassis as if the top ones are rusted solid they will give the affect of being spring loaded causing the springs to wind up as you have described. Hope this helps.

    Morris Marina/Ital ones fit straight on (but your probably find it hard to find now) as the splines are exactly the same I had one of those on my first short wheel base, the only other thing I can think of is one from a Austin Metro (More likely to find one of these) again exactly the same...
