Any way to bring the tubes down & secure to the rear mounts above the light clusters?

    Custom Roof Rack

Looking at it now they do look worth the money. I'd be happy to pay £500-£750 for a 3dr version if the entire roof was usable space. SES88, how long do I have to save up for one??!

What have you done to your Freelander today

Fitting new brakes to the van so gave everything a clean & paint. Felt guilty for not doing anything to the Hippo so fitted the new aerial. Ordered my Synergy 2a RonBox too!

Insurance, Lift kit, steel wheels and AT tyres

If you're going to do the lift kit I'd definitely recommend getting the tracking, etc done properly at a garage. I did the work myself, very easy to do, but if you don't adjust the camber pins properly or get the tracking checked it'll eat through your tyres.

    Custom Roof Rack

I'd love a roofrack for the 3dr in the same shape as the standard one but continuing to the front of the car and securing to the roof above the front screen. I've taken off the plastic covers and found the channels but as yet I haven't found a bar that would do as a light bar or to bring the...

    Uh oh clunk..help

Sounds very much like the rear diff mount. Lay under the rear of the car, put your hand on the rear diff where it joins the prop shaft and push up, if it moves easily its knackered. Just changed mine today, noise has stopped now.

whats the point of advisories on an mot

My dad took his Volvo V40 T4 to be MOT'd, only the 'T4' badge had come off sometime in the past. One of the advisories the tester listed was that it didn't have the correct size wheels on. Turns out the V40 1.8, 2.0, 2.0 Turbo all have a smaller wheel size than the T4 which has larger wheels but...

What have you done to your Freelander today

T'was £23 + postage. Steps are fine but the long edge which the bolts go through could do with being thicker. It flexes a little. May consider welding a strengthening bar along the back of it in the summer.

What have you done to your Freelander today

My rear step arrived today too so fitted that. I'll probably never use it for anything except as a bump stop! I'd rather the car nudged something with that instead of the rear tyre & shattering the rear glass!!

What have you done to your Freelander today

Dad came home having borrowed my car & said there is a nasty clink on the rear diff when taking off. Removed rear diff mount & found it was not doing much! Had a Bearmach one waiting for better weather but the sun came out for 5 minutes so I fitted it today.

I'm now the not so proud owner of a 2wd Freelander! Just got to save up my pennies to exchange this one for a Bell recon.

I'd get a winch on the Freelander. That way you can still have comfort and a heater for the journey home!

What causes a wobbly gear stick?

Hi everyone I've noticed for a while the the gear stick has a lot of play in it. Forward & backward is fine & it goes into gear perfectly. Gear changes are smooth. But for some reason the stick can be wobbled side to side while in gear & it has a lot of lateral movement, similar to when it is...
