Winter tyres...which ones do you have?

I've just got a set of Goodyear Wranglers A/T fitted. Will they be ok for winter wet weather & snow or should I get a set of winter tyres fitted?

What have you done to your Freelander today

I'm fitting stainless steel pipes, new cylinders in the back and a calliper service kit including Pistons to the front next weekend. What's theoat I can expect from doing all this or are the brakes on the Freelander pretty crap anyway?

What have you done to your Freelander today

What have you done to your Freelander today

Moved the drivers window switch back to its existing place on the handbrake console. Ioved it to under the heater dials as it felt more comfortable to use there but then I realised I couldn't raise both windows at the same time with one hand! So I've put it back where it was!!

    3dr Light Bars

I'd definitely like a light bar! Getting fed up taking the lights off when I out the roof bars on!

What have you done to your Freelander today

The growling noise in my car is from the passenger seat. Either the Yorkshire Terrier or the girlfriend. Can't tell which growls loudest!!

    Major clutch problems.

So I finally got it sorted. As usual it was a combination of problems, the main one being that the Borg & Beck slave cylinder had a dodgy quick release connection on it so it was weeping fluid. Tried various o-rings and fittings only to end up removing the faulty connections & replace the...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Got my new tyres fitted today. 205/80/16, no rubbing on anything and 10mm clearance on the rear high level brake light. Got to get a new rear wheel cover though!

    Major clutch problems.

I did the procedure as Roccotune suggested, pretty much the same as your method and it bleeds fine but then gets worse over 50 miles or so. I had noticed a pool of fluid on the gearbox housing under the slave/master coupling. I'm hoping the new o-ring has sorted it. When filling the master...

    Major clutch problems.

Hi all. I'd also advise stay clear of Borg & Beck slave cylinder. The problem appears to be a fault on the coupling to the master cylinder. I have since changed the rubber o-ring today and will use the car and see if it fails again.

    Gear selector rods

Hi everyone. If anyones interested I can confirm that the funny shaped thing at the end is the cause of the wobbly gear lever. Having cut it off, drilled out the hole and replaced with a hardened steel metal punch which I then cut down to the size of the original height, the gear lever is much...

    Gear Selectio

Check the push fit connection between the master and slave cylinders. I've been bleeding mine loads recently and have now noticed a slight weep at the connection. Will try clearing out anything inside with compressed air and replacing the rubber o-ring before I strip the gearbox again and change...

    Gear selector rods

I may have found something related to the problem! I removed this part from the car today and noticed the tip looks very worn. There is a lot of movement in the gear selector rods before it's even started to move the gear change selector shaft quadrant (as the Rave disc calls it). Is it...

    Major clutch problems.

Hi everyone If anyone could help I'd really appreciate it. I recently fitted a Borg & Beck clutch kit including the supplied slave cylinder. Having out it back together the gear change was difficult so I replaced two of the connecting rods. However it didn't make any difference. I bled the...

    Plylined Freelander

I'm going to have to rethink. A few weeks ago I removed the back seats & put some garden swing chair cushions in and the girlfriend and I went and watched a meteor shower. She liked it so much she wants to go camping in it!!! Now I have to get a roof box for the luggage! And a van for work!!

    Plylined Freelander

I was quoted £180 to have it lined with chequer plate. I use it for plumbing and my tool boxes are going to destroy the rear eventually Use the carpet as a template.

Thanks for the suggestions. The orange poly bush was from the PG1 kit but the rest of the bushes were different as mine is the Getrag. Will have a look at the other joints and see if I can find some newer bushes.
