Hi, just an update to let the people no who commented on my post. Tightened the alternator belt and yes the reading went up to 13.20 on multimeter. Another discovery was the 2 wires from the alternator that go to the battery. I fitted a new inline fuse box about 6 months ago and only 1 of those...

I've just gone out and checked the belt on the alternator, to be honest i can move it up and down about 6"

That sounds an easy way to tell, will give it a go tomorrow, if it is the alternator what kind do i buy? as this engine is 2.5n/a and im unsure of the year etc.

Yeh i did think about a proper check as only done the basic one with the multimeter. Just that they cant check the alternator can they?

Coulnt fault the way the S3 handled the snow, still gaving a bit of a nightmare with the battery on first start up tho in the cold.
