I intend to use the wifes freelander 1 (2004 Tdi4) for towing the family tourer. I plan to fit a step and bumper protector to the towbar....has anyone done this and were they picked up by the reversing sensors when in normal use, ie. `van not hitched up??

Hi, looking for advice on the above. Just bought a 2004 FL Td4 HSE. Lovely condition, everything works - apart from the slightly fooked powerfold mirrors - not too worried about that though, fix or replace! BUT there is always a snag isn`t there?. The "security" card is of course missing...

Me too, both mirrors faulty, pleased to find this thread and to know these things are fixable...Will give me something to do,I love messing about in the garage anyway, nice to have a job where you can stand up and not get dirty... well not very dirty anyway...:D
