A trick which works on mine (if your display is the same) is when the light flashes to say it's ready to change over, get the revs over 2000 then let then drop down to about 1500. If your on a motorway dip the cluth or stick it in neutral, once the revs drop it should switch over to gas. Hope...

After a bit of help here, My P38 has the 18" wheels and can anyone recomend a suitable tyre for on/off road use, or would it be better to swap them for a set of 16" wheels. I havn't got the room to have two sets of wheels and tyres so I can't go for 1 set for road use and a second set for off...

Does anyone know where I can get off road parts for my P38, what I'm after is some underbody protection etc. I can find loads for defenders and discoveries and even older range rovers but nothing for a P38.

Because the engine runs hotter with lpg, and because if like mine your engine has a slight water leak, you'll loose more water because it's hotter. I should really fix the leak but it's one of thos annoying ones where it's so slight it's bloody hard to find, plus I've got several other jobs to...

The system on my 4.6 rr (now at 113000 miles) works fine, I just keep an eye on the oil and water levels. Usally needs a bit of water every 2 weeks or so, apart from that it makes it almost as cheap to run as my old 1.8 mondeo.

the sat nav in a p38 is basic, you can get updated cd's for them off ebay. But they only really update the mapping, it does have a sort of post code thing, but only lets you enter the first 4or 5 digits. I tend to stick to the tom tom on my phone

I got one as well, thinking of asking if it's possible to fit some of those pray drums they have on me range rover. Might keep traffic wardens away.

If when the window is almost at the top it sounds like a machine gun, then it's probabley the regulator as the noise is the motor slipping on the ratchet teeth.

Its a posh name for a matal frame with teeth, which the window motor drives and pushes the glass up and down.

I could be wrong but don't the AA cover the driver, so if you've got more than 1 vehicle your cover is for all of them. Whereas the RAC cover the vehicle, so if you have more than one person that drives it, your all covered.

Its an older "star gas" convertion done in 2003 and no he didn't say where the filter is, and I've no idea where it is. Probably like most people I know next to nothing about the workings of an LPG system, only that it makes running a 4.6l V8 practical.
