    lpg

bought mine without the conversion for 2 reasons (or is that one reason) 1. converted they are a lot dearer than buying one and gettting the conversion done yourself 2. not converted are loads cheaper When I got mine I asked around both local LR dealer & LR independant and they both came back...

    Squeaky bum time 16:00

right new track rod ends are on, what an easy job - took longer to jack it up & take the wheels off than do the job. Counted the turns when removing and counted same putting the new ones on but got a 4 wheel alignment done anyway. Another year of trouble free motoring ahead - long live...

    Roof strips??

nish no idea myself but try the site sponsor - they are usually spot on and not too dear. Do you know if the P38 roof profile is the same as the L322 as this might be an option good luck

mornin' all Right, it's been year since I gor the RR so today is MoT time. I've checked everything I can and everything that should work does, even the towbar leccies (as I'm on 13 pin). HAd a look over the mechanicals as well as all brake lines/pads etc. and all looks good. Since I've had...

New owner and yes,an EAS problem, sorry

Gav are the batteries in the key fob OK - does the little red light come on when you press the button. Unlikely to be the RF receiver if it was OK half an hour ago - welcome to the joys of owning a P38

New owner and yes,an EAS problem, sorry

Gav might also be a dodgy height sensor that has gone "out of range" - As already said, read the codes and as you don't have a "hard fault" (no 35mph message on dash) you might get away with just a reset. As wammer said, until you get this done, once the car is level, press the inhibit switch...

    Colour code

did mine with Halford's plastic primer & topcoat - colour was their dark grey - now perfectly matches the bumper (did the bits under the headlights as well - 1 can of each is plenty

Does the P in P38 stand for Paranoia?

martyn like you when I got mine (june 2011) I was expecting all sorts of problems but I've wanted a rangie for years. I don't care much for the shape of the L322 and, as it is my daily driver (approx 1000/month) a classic was just too old. I also wanted the big V8 but not LPG converted as...

    Tailgate hinge cover.

fixed mine by attaching a short length of tent pole shock cord through a loop on the back and attaching it behind the lower tailgate carpet, works perfectly, cost £0.00

    2001 Range 4.6 and LPG

mornin' sorry no idea of a fitter in Berkshire but putting a good sequential LPG system on the 4.6 is an excellent idea - keep all the power & refinement of the big V8 but with diesel economy. LPG round here is between 70 - 76p/ltr. The system I had fitted to mine by local indy (happy...

    Am I Mad

compared towhat you have the diesel will seem to pull like a train but consifder the petrol and there are laods about, they are generally cheaper that the diesel to buy and take LPG conversions really well so you end up with all the power of teh petrol but with diesel economy. Never had a P38...

P38 or Disco 2 and what engine - tips anyone?

Graeme go for the 4.6, it's got more power than the 4.0 and economy (if you can call it that) is the same. Get as late a one as you can and, get it converted to gas (cheaper to buy one not converted and get it converted yourself rather than buy one already converted) as Sandy says, sort...

    Off roaded P38?

Mine does a bit of greenlaning and has been to a local pay & play site in Bawtry, run by jeepworld. Didn't to anything too extreme (it's my dialy driver) but it coped really well (could maybe do with some more aggressive tyres, it's on scorpion ST's) got it really muddy but no damage...
