Drop arm ball joint - torque?

Hi About to swap the ball joint cause its knackered. Have read busters tips, done a google search and everyone seams to say do the nut up to the recommended torque. I can't find what that torque is supposed to be. Can anyone help with a quick answer? Thanks Ian.

    HELP! Steering stops

If they rub on the drivers side then you need to adjust the stop on the passenger side. There's a lock nut on the back of the bolt, slacken that then screw the bolt out a bit. Ian.

Steering lock stops, how much clearance?

Hi been searching around and not found the answer to my question. Any help appreciated. What should the clearance be between the tyre and radius arm when adjusting the steering lock stops? Do you adjust so that they almost rub or is there a set proper distance? Want to improve the...

Steering guard - is there a better fitting one

Thanks for the replies. Guard is going back, appreciate the comments. Thank god it's not the chassis that's poorly made:o Has anyone ever seen a chassis with tubes at the front for jacking? I get the feeling it's different to normal but I am no expert. Far from an expert in truth!

Steering guard - is there a better fitting one

Hi, which bits ****e, the guard or the chassis :( Hope you mean the guard. It came from Craddocks but I think it's going back cause it doesn't really fit the chassis right and I don't want to bodge it. Make is land marque or something, it's got like a L cut into the main plate which looks...

Steering guard - is there a better fitting one

Hi I have had a search and cant find the answer to my question. Bought a 3 piece steering guard to fit and it doesnt really fit to well where the front bolts should fix to the chassis. The chassis has a tube going forwards under the bumper for the jack and this tube has a couple of plates...

    Defender 90 chasis damage

Theres plenty of land rovers out there, might be easiest to walk on by as if he is selling it he may do the minimum to bodge it to sell it. That said he might be genuine and do the repair well. Have a look at a few others before committing to something.
