X Defend Pedal Lock fitted (with Pics!)

I think they are good in that they are easily stowed and used. The reality is every lock and trick to save a Landy is defeat able - in the extreme a hiab lorry will have it away in seconds. What it will do is make it a little harder to steal. And I for one have more than one line of Defense...

    Aaron's 90 rebuild (Round 2)

Feel for you. Your work on the rebuilds is first class and I reckon everyone who's read this thread is willing the thing to get finished. Take a day or two away from it. Sure it will be a cracker when it's done!

    clutch adjustment?

Clutch was slipping last week so have been assembling all the bits needed to drop in a new clutch. I decided to get a newer clutch pedal also, the 300tdi one with the different spring to make the pedal a bit easier. Just put that on and set it up so the clutch pedal is the right height from...

    T seal replacement

What's best way to fix leaky seal in the main bearing cap at the back. Is a gasket available or is it better to seal with RTV? Thanks Ian

How noisy is a heavy duty clutch?

Thanks all. Suppose the question I should be asking is do I really need a heavy duty clutch.

How noisy is a heavy duty clutch?

Thanks all. Motor doesn't do 1000s of miles a year, it's an RTV plaything really with a bit of extra when the weathers bad to get around home to work. Still mulling it over.

How noisy is a heavy duty clutch?

    Thanks. Sounds like a plan.

How noisy is a heavy duty clutch?

How much noisier does a heavy duty clutch make the gearbox? It's clutch time for me and read a few threads that mention the gearbox being noisier at idle and read this on the ashcroft website also. Is it going to drive me nuts? Where is the best place for a heavy duty clutch fork, don't...

    Squeeling 300tdi

Hope it's not the water pump, I put a new Oe quality one on some time ago at the same time I did the p gasket. Bloody car, its a love hate relationship sometimes :)

    Squeeling 300tdi

Hmm, don't know what it is then. Penny trick made it worse for sure. Must be something else associated with the belt. Bugger.

    Squeeling 300tdi

Hi 300tdi is squeeling a bit, thought it was the belt. Not doing it all the time, and when it does it seems to do it when the engines under load, knock it out of gear and it stops immediately. I have done a bit of searching and tried the suggestions, penny trick etc. In fact the...

    Another rebuild, Td5 90

What Landyfox said is spot on. Look around for a small unit and lease. You would be surprised how many businesses lease premises!

    Speedo cable two parts

Hi old fogey. This is an old 90, no ecu :) Just wondered why they used to have two halves to the cable. I suppose it must have made it easier to just swap the broken half without getting the speedo out the dash.

    Coil spring issues..

I have standard front springs for a 90 on both the front and back of my 90. I don't tow anything or have any weight in the back but it works well for RTV trials. Dampers are +2 inch jobbies.

    ALRC Project

    Speedo cable two parts

Speedo cables knackered so need to change it. Why did Land Rover make two piece cables, is there an advantage over having a single cable in one part rather that joined? Curious to know why before I she'll out on new parts... Ian
