Mines an LT77 then cheers matey £400's not too bad especially not if it's improved. Is the R380 better and would that fit?

My 200 TDi's gearbox is crunching badly into second no mater how carefully I drive. it also occaisionally crunches into forth too. Can the gear box be rebuilt at home or am I better off getting a recon box? Are there any modifications that can be made to prevent the problem re-occouring? or...

yes i have i'm just exploring an idea 25 ratios plus hi lo would make an incredibly capable vehicle. both in terms of hi and low gearing

Just a thought, has any one thought about running a landie with two gearboxes fitted in line? The ratios for crawling would be awesome, I know the Yanks have done it but I cant find any landies, what are your thoughts?

Theoretically they're brilliant though i'd guess they're more prone to accidental damage on sharp rocks etc. Would also be great on soft ground as they spread the load unlike a mechanical jack. Look on Youtube someones sure to have posted a video of one. I bet they're a pain in the *rs* to put...

I agree with the too many adverts comment, and they all definately need more articles on landrovers other than series/defenders. Dont get me wrong I'd love a Defender but the other landrovers seem completely overshadowed by them when it comes to the magazines.

I've seen a jap pick up with a printed vinyl camo pattern with actual leaves and branches (realwood pattern I think) and despite being a jap truck it looked pretty good, If not Cammo then what about mat black?
