Not in north Devon,but i see these guys advertised in Exeter : Range Rover P38

When i first got my p38,the aircon drain pipe on near side of gearbox was blocked. Hence the carpet on passenger side kept getting wet. Got underneath the gearbox,and reached up with a metal coathanger straightened out,then poked it into the end of the pipe. Was a nice shower to :D

Thats exactly right above.:D I bought mine as it had no problems and everything worked :eek: But that was 2 months ago,a lifetime in p38 ownership it seems !! I have changed a c/locking motor lately though :doh:

The abs pump on my range rover sounds and behaves like the abs pump on my Ford sierra cosworth,in that it starts off pumping fast and then slows down until it stops after say 5-10 seconds from turning on ignition. Then i dont hear it again until i have to restart the vehicle. Also on my rangey...

It sounds as though the compressor is almost overworked,with the things that cause it to operate. Has anyone in the uk used a different compressor,like the one that rover renovations supplies ?

As a p38 newbie,i'm learning a lot from this :clap2: So is it logical to say that when running but parked on a flat surface,the compressor should not be running to often ? Ive got a digital thermometer which im going to use to measure my compressors temp tomorrow,should be interesting ...

All done today, and for a change without any problems. Even the counterweight grub screw came undone,but it was tight mind:D Surprisingly the old piston seal was in quite good condition,but the lock ring wasn't down hard enough to stop the seal turning.Not sure if the last time it was done it...

Hi Wammers, if i can get away with not having to discharge any air then i certainly won't. :D Having only just started working on p38's, i presumed any work on the air system involved emptying it all first :doh: Cheers Andy..

In the next day or so i am going to replace the E.A.S. compressor seal in my p38. My question is :when i discharge the air from the system,do i just let the vehicle rest on its bump stops. Or is it best to put some axle stands under each corner to take some of the weight ? I'm intending to use...

Can i ask Rayc, how you found out it was the RF receiver that caused the power spike ?
