I would be expecting a lot of steam coming out the exhaust if you have to put 4 litres of water in it :eek: Do you know a garage that could do a sniff test on the header tank, to see if there is any exhaust gasses in the water system ? Also if your putting that much water back in,make sure you...

As you say, the only advantage to the job is that your coolant will be drained. The majority of the work is done inside the cabin,so unless you want to do it for peace of mind,then i'd leave it til it leaks ;) The other way of looking at it is, if changing the o rings turns into a nightmare...

Fit one of these to each seat to replace whats in there : 5 pcs Temperature Controlled Switch Thermostat 45℃(N.C) on eBay (end time 09-Dec-10 15:34:54 GMT) You will then have a nice warm ass :D

Yea if you dont upgrade the thermostat,then its near enough a free fix bar your own labour :D I was lucky that the bolt that holds the o ring joint together came apart easy,so that wasnt a bad job either ! Cost for that was just over a quid for 2 new o rings,happy days :)
