I had the same problem as you last year,and i opted for a new one from Island 4x4. Not had a problem since with it,and yes the warranty swung it for me :D Ive ordered a few things with them since and its always been delivered within 24 hours,and no i dont work for them ;)

Have you tried bleeding the brakes since fitting it,a lot of people havent needed to but a few have had to ? When i did mine i had a bit of air in the system (pump made a ticking type noise) which went after bleeding from the master bleeder on the modulator..

My 4.6 never needs any throttle to fire up, hot or cold :)

I had to bleed the system on mine a few times the full way in order to get all the spongey feeling out. The last few times i just bled from the master bleed nipple on the accumulator to get the last remnants out. Been perfect since :D

I pushed some thick car electrical wire down both the front holes to see if i could feel for any blockages,which there wasnt any. Just to be sure i blew some compressed air down through the tubes,clean as a whistle now :D
