    Water pressure

Will pop down to the Port William next time :5bcheers2: Due to substantial wind and rain,we only visited the Tamar otter sanctuary near Launceston on the way back. I remember seeing a classic range rover last time on molesworth street, driving out of tintagel. Will keep an eye out for...

    Subwoofer Problems

The R button device looks a bit like the buzzer for a towing kit,so when you plug a trailer socket in it buzzes when you indicate.

Harmon / Kardon head unit replacement - definitive 'how-to' and adaptor harnesses

Well i'm using a Sony MEX-BT3600U Bluetooth/CD car stereo. Wonderful sound quality compared to the old Kenwood cd unit that was in there. And for me the best bit is the moment i get in the rangey, the bluetooth detects my iphone in my pocket and is locked onto the music stored on it. And...

    Water pressure

I like to take the top hose off rad and back fill the engine block with coolant, and then fill rad up as far as possible, then reconnect hose. Top up header tank. Then start engine, and pull the overflow hose you mention off and as the thermostat opens you should get a flow of water coming...

    Water pressure

When i changed my water pump i took that pipe off to bleed air out,and water spurted out about 3-4 inch's. The rest of the water ended up down my overalls as i tried to push it back on quickly !!

    Insurance madness !

I usually use a comparison website to find the most competitive insurance quote. Last year i insured my p38 through Admiral, but this year the renewal was £260 fully comp. It was under £200 the year before. So i phoned Admiral and told them that the comparison website had come up with 2 quotes...

    Viscus fan and water pump?

Not a hard job on a v8 Dodge. But its well worth getting a viscous fan spanner before doing the job,so much easier than a hammer and punch/chisel ;) Also water pump bolts have a habit of shearing off when you least need them to,so a tap and die set and quality drill bits would be a good back...

    Disconnecting battery

Got no power source to my lock up unfortunately :( I'm hoping that with the key out the ignition, there cant be any power spikes to damage any ecu's when disconnecting.. Must be better than leaving the battery, to gradually run flat !

    Disconnecting battery

Well i'm off on holiday for a few weeks soon, and i'm going to be putting my 4.6 p38 in a lock up whilst away. Anyway i want to disconnect the battery,as i dont trust it to stay charged in that time  So whats the best procedure for disconnecting? Just take the leads off or set the alarm...

    range rover traction failure helppp.

Is the battery well charged up ? If its got a cheapo battery thats seen better days, they can throw up false errors on the dash. Mine used to come up with abs fault if the battery got low ! Give it a good charge and see if the message goes :)

P38 video, coach being towed out of mud !

Thought you might like to see this coach get yanked about ! The first part of the video and last few seconds are worth watching, for some reason the camera is pointed at the ground inbetween  ‪range rover pulling 13 ton coach out of the mud‬‏ - YouTube

    P38 battery drain !!!

Over the years ive found that if a battery has run low on acid, its on its way out no matter what you add. :( When it does get replaced though,i would recomend getting the highest cranking amp battery you can afford for a p38. Ive just added a 10w solar panel charger to mine, does help the...

Just a heads up to those that may come accross this whilst doing a search.(Would of helped me !) There's 9 bolts to undo and 3 of these have 11mm heads.(the others are 10mm) Be very carefull with the 3 11mm bolts as they are long and likely to be corroded into the block,as i found out on one of...
