Had a bit of a rainwater leak in the front passenger footwell - carpet sodden! Anyway noticed this crack on the black plastic plenum under the windscreen (where the retaining screw is) - there is another crack starting at the driver's side as well under the other retaining screw. Can't see it...

Noticed a coolant leak (small) yesterday - here's a photo: On the passenger-side - just next to the AC compressor. The large hose was replaced only a year ago.

Oh!:eek: So power comes from battery, through the fusible link and then to the stalk; then from the stalk through F9 and F10 (fusebox under steering wheel) and to the dipped beam lights? Mmmm! Bit more work and investigation required! At least I haven't wasted money on a new stalk! Sincere...

Checked F9 and F10 in situ this time around - both show 11.8V (ignition on and dipped beam selected on stalk). I assume this means there is power/voltage at the stalk/switch. So likely stalk/switch at fault, but need to confirm later by removing the stalk again and this time bridging pins 2...

Missed that: "Unplug the stalk and make a bridge with a wire across pins 2(blue/red) - 6(brown/purple) and if the dipped beam doesnt come on the problem is not the switch, if you get the lights with the bridge then replace the stalk...did you check fusible link FL10 engine bay?" Stalk back in...

Checked FL10 (30A) under the bonnet - continuity with multimeter was good.

If the fuse/s (F9 and F10) are in situ then I can't connect the multimeter lead probes to them - all I see is the plastic top of each 10A fuse?
