I like capris (and most older fords) and i love land rovers and it sounds like you are planning on ruining two cars to make a hidious hybrid. Restore one or the other and flog the one that you arent restoring to make money to fund the restoration.

Mines got the black chequer plate on the bonnet but only cos I saw it going cheap on eblag when I was looking for the tailgate panel, which I ended up making out of plywood instead.

I would take the flakey rust off and see what you are left with. If no holes, treat it with fertan or something similar and give it plenty of paint and jobs a good un. In terms of rust, that's one of the better ones I have seen.

I dont think you can completely keep water out of even the best put together car, never mind a land rover so you have more chance of sealing your arsehole than making a discovery completely water tight. As mentioned above, keep the water out of the oily bits and help it get out of the cabin...

When i got my disco it was on 205/85/16s and it looked like it was on castors (funnily enough I thinks thats what the alloys where called) now its on 235/85/16s and it looks and drives a lot better if a little bit slower to accelerate.

Also, having looked at the picture of the full body kit, it makes me think of the brooklands body kit off the Range Rover classic.
