You have been talking about that 200 engine swop for some time

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

It was good It was busy but not to the point where you would have to keep stopping and waiting for someone to get out the way before you can carry on And as the day went on the course would change as it got cherned up by everyone so it was like finding a new part of the site you hadn't do...

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

It's the 4.0 but I have a 4.6 in the shed so if the engine in it is not a quick fix then il put that in it instead

    Hertfordshire Lanes?????

Cost! The D2 with the right tyres will do everything I need it to on road and off road But it's a load of money to be slowly destroying whilst having fun in the mud A 90 fender would be the ideal off roader but there cold wet noisey and cramped on road and you pay a lot of money for that...

    D2 with p38 suspension

I'm not sure exactly what it is you want to or why but I have a D2 with air rear and a p38 but that's on springs so I can only go by memory for the air bags on that But the rear air bags are different on the two cars Or are you thinking about putting air on the front of the disco as well?

New shocks & steering damper, now terrible shudder...

Did tightening the wheel up fix the problem?
  9. discostew38

    D2 with p38 suspension

I'm sure the way they fit is different

    Am I mad???

The bloke I bought it off is a mate of mine and his had P38s for over 10 years so he knows all the problems they suffer from And he likes the diesels the BMW engine if serviced properly will go on for ever and if you get one with the manual gearbox the MPG is really good for a big car
  11. discostew38

anyone got or tried one of these

Could be a bit tricky driving with that on the screen

    Am I mad???

You and me both I've been looking into it for the last couple of months And last week I bought a 1998 V8 it needs a bit of work (engine) Off road parts are harder to get hold of but if you look around you can still get them but less choice

Anyone used the Karcher Chassis Cleaner?

I see one in B&Q last week Looks like a handy tool but I sure it wouldn't be any good for waxing
  19. discostew38

    Overheating (but not always)

A air lock would give you the heater problem so I'd bleed the system first And if there's no change then check the thermostat And so on

To buy or not to buy a V8 D2?

Out of interest how much did you pay for it I ask because I'm in two minds whether to sell my 2004 D2 V8 As a 3rd car it don't get used much but I do like it Dilemma
