Don't know about the doors but as its a deisel and not starting - no fuel getting to the cylinders? Fuel pump stopped working?

Fault caused by jump starting another car?

That's quite worrying, that by helping someone you could shaft yourself. I jump started someone's van a few weeks ago, wasn't happy about it as he is a complete and utter cock, but got him out of my sight quicker. Won't happen again.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Finished fitting my silicone hoses after I bought the wrong set and needed a joiner piece. New vacuum hose came yesterday so will have a look at replacing those soon.

3 door roof bars added to a 5 door

Looking at that I'd say the front section has been extended, there's no middle support as the 5 door usually has and the front section is straight where the 3 door part is curved slightly. The rear mounts are higher than usual too, on a 3 door they are directly above the light cluster. If I...

Removing Roof Bars and covering screw holes

Took mine off earlier in the week. Rear mounts - undo torx screw that goes through the rail. Front mounts - undo centre torx screw and lift off rail. 2 choices - leave it like this or go further to completely remove... (or put the rail back on after fitting the soft back (ok make that 3...

    injector ultrasonic baths

Not used one for vehicle injectors but ive used one for spray nozzles used in printing. Does work really well to clear debris but didn't work brilliantly if completely blocked before we started. Had to dismantle the spray head and just clean the nozzle on its own. As I say not cleaned...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Took the roof bars off (3 door) and got the angle grinder and welder out. Hopefully something good will come of it.

    Opinions please.

I'm not sure but aren't the facelift ones dearer to tax? Taking like for like so prefacelift TD4 against facelift TD4? Mines a 2001 TD4 and I seem to remember something about it being the sweet spot for better components and less tax only in the older looking front end. Less reliant on K bus or...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Fitted my second hand webasto fuel pump with hopes of getting the FBH running at last. Unfortunately it still doesn't work so looks like bumper off checking the glow pin.

    Opinions please.

I believe only the really early base models may not have come with HDC as standard. This one is mid range so I would imagine it has it (mine is a 2001MY GS and has it). Looking at the description and pictures id say it's worth a closer look. TD4, leather, nice wheels and a strong colour. All...

What've you done to your insides?

Electric bits, that reminds me. Same 4 switch panel as GStuart mentions, but nothing fed off it at the moment... Aux socket in the boot, and a couple of white LED markers on the rearmost pillar as extra courtesy lights. 2 retired greyhounds, one rides in the boot and the other on the back...

What've you done to your insides?

Not done much (so far) but if you have a dog the tail door dog guard is useful. Fitted a voltmeter so I can keep an eye on the battery state (ironic as I bought it a week before my alternator failed and fitted it a week after getting a new alt). My steering wheel was a bit shiney so I fitted...

    have done something stupid

Didn't the fbh and Ptc come and go depending on year? Mines the same age as yours and has a (currently non functioning) fbh. It's not in the engine bay but behind the front bumper (basically below where it is on a 75). Look for a metal exhaust pipe.
