Pics now on LandyWatch STOLEN from Biggin Hill - LandyWatch No security on the truck. Thought to have been taken between 0400-0430

Owners in the Birmingham general area may want to be extra vigilant as there have been three attempted LR thefts and one theft/recovery in the past week. This info came courtesy of Skytag GPS via the LandyWatch twitter feed.

I'm no expert but I agree with Martin1512.... If the ad is right and the work was done in 2008 then, as I understand it, for it to retain its original 1959 VIN then the chassis should be the original or a new like to like replacement (with evidence of purchase). No mods allowed to the chassis...

Did you get two sets of keys when you bought the truck ? To be pinched in broad daylight in a busy public place in around 15 mins could suggest the thieves had a set. Even if you got two sets, it's not exactly difficult to make up another one if somebody had access to the correct records etc...
