Almost 30K and have not done it!!!!!!!!! All I need id a new rocker cover gasket?

Besides mileage, how do you know if its time to adjust the valves? Can you hear it? My engine is always a little rattle-y, all diesels are, how noisy does it get? Is there another method? Thanks.

Trying to raise the nerve to have my timing belt changed. I have put about 30K miles on Pumkin and figure its about time. I have all the parts including the upgrade kit, just in case. Are there any tips for a mechanic that has never changed the timing belt on a Defender? Should I be scared...

Does anyone sell a pre-bent brake line kit for the 300tdi? :confused: I want to replace the entire brake line system from the master cylinder to the calipers. I will need all the fittings and the thingies that secure the lines to the diffs and other body mounts. Thanks.

Hard to say, my old pump was working but just barely. The new one when the engine is revved the hose will stick to my finger. I was told 13.5 - 15.5 PSI But I have no way of testing.

Took me hours to get mine out.

Start the engine and pull the vacuum line out of the servo, should be a good bit of suction. I just had the same thing, my vacuum pump was gone. Apparently its fairly common for the pump to go.
