1998 300tdi. Its harder to go into 1st and 3rd and reverse, 4th and 5th are fine. Its been a while since last gear box oil change, that will be done on Monday. Whats the best oil for the gear box? Thanks.

My gear box seems to be getting more difficult to change gears, "Notchy". It feels like its getting harder to get into 1st and reverse,sometimes 3rd. It does not always happen and seems to be more noticeable when she is cold. Thoughts? Thanks.

I have a really good welder, he came and looked at it yesterday and says no problem. I think I will also change the clutch while I have all or this out.
