Ok it's happened, checked the wiring for oil contamination this morning. Plenty of oil in the red plug, iv cleaned it out with a solvent and obviously I need to change the injector harness, what do I do about the oil that's already in there? Is it a case of just cleaning it for a few weeks...

I think I just tightened it, don't see how you could mark it accurately because the plate the bolt is sitting on comes off too. How are you going to check the bearing?

Bought another today, and fitted it all sorted. Welded the weight back on in the right spot and it's driving fine, phew!

I did mine on the back, no dramas. Prop off, there is a 15mm (I think) bolt, that off retainer plate off, prise the old seal out tap a new one in. Check your axle breather! Mine was blocked

Thanks the replies but I don't know what most of that means, If I buy a box from a td5 disco, it will fit right? Then I need a compushift? Can I retain my transfer box? What else do I need?
