thanks for that, but gave my local motor factors a call this morning and they came up with £105 +vat. I'll collect tomorrow and hopefully with my trade discount should be around £90 all in

Looks like years of hot starting issues have finally taken their toll on my poor rangie. Went to city link depot this evening to pick up my replacement in tank fuel pump, to hopefully correct the starting issues and lack of power, Came to start the car up and it wouldnt start. 30 Seconds or so...

I have just bought a new in tank fuel pump for my 2.5dse P38 and fitted it and it doesnt work. I am an electrical/mechanical engineer by trade and have taken it back out and i have 12v down to the pump but nothing. Is this a common occurence with Britpart replacement parts?? To top it all off...

hello people. as per the title really, Where is the temp sensor located in the engine bay and is there any other things i should be looking for? I would feel alot more confident in driving my new rangie knowing i have an idea of coolant temps thanks ..lee

i put the fuel in about 500 yrds from the sellers house.

thanks for the suggestions guys, keep them coming. The top intercooler hose is very very soft. I'll start here. It just seems strange it was absolutely fine untill i hit the kick down at 70mph. Ill start with the obvious like split hoses, loose connections etc

how can the fuel make that much difference? 35mph flat to the floor? did it also smoke like mine does too?

it was a Tesco garage :doh: It seems like i have no turbo pressure at all now though. Anything other than mild acceleration causes loads of black smoke out the back and no power whatsoever. It would barely get to 70mph on a flat and 50 uphill. Im going to check for split pipes etc in the morning
