For the last month the TD4 has begun to 'hold back' a bit when trying to accelerate on the motorway, a bit of hesitancy accompanied by a flickering and on/off engine management light (though it doesn't stay on). Sporadic, and seems to largely disappear after about 15 miles... The under-car...

I'm about to go to steel wheels with bigger tyres - can I use the wheel bolts that presently fix the 16" alloys with the steels, or will I need different bolts for the steels? ta. B

I'm tempted to stick some 215/80/15s all terrains on the steel rims I have - I appreciate that these will alter the speedo by around 3MPH, however are there likely to be any rubbing issues with the slightly bigger diameter 215s over the standard 195/80/15s?

Will Synergy 2 work with the original MAF sensor (Bosch I think) and is the unit easy to fit?

be interested to hear how you get on with the 215s - i've just bought some 15" steels and contemplating some ATs - Blackcircles seem to do a decent range, i was originally going to go for the LR specified 195/80/15 but would go for the 215s if there are no rubbing issues. Fancy the cooper ATs...

My orange engine management light has started flickering occasionally, accompanied by a lack of turbo boost/power when it does so. The weird thing is, it only does it at about 10 minutes into the journey from cold, and only when I'm straight onto the motorway at a steady speed at around 70...

I can't afford a lift kit at the moment but need new tyres.....is it possible to increase the tyre profile (ideally switching to all terrains)on a standard freeleander with 16" alloys to give a little extra clearance? I'm aware that this could alter the speedo readings and gearing slightly...

My TD4 clutch needs to touch the carpet before a smooth change can be made - worst offender is 1st and getting it into reverse. Changes fine but it has to be hard on the floor. No slipping, noises coming from clutch etc, so not sure if plate needs renewed or not. It's had a quick bleed through...
