    Cheap synergy2

Anyone fancy a cheap Synergy2 for £90 posted? Only been on Landy 5 months - one of the plastic lugs on the connector has broken so needs a plastic tie to hold on - otherwise excellent and hardly used.

    steel wheel tyres

The wheel set up on the right is the one I use all year round. I stuck on Toyo ATs in 215/80/r15 on my refurbished black steels like the above and it is great all year round, and brilliant in mud or snow. A bit extra lift too which is always useful.

    L Series tuning- Synergy vp?

I've got a used Synergy2 (was on TD4 for 4 months) - broken plastic clip for one of the connectors but perfecty useable. If you are interested, send me a PM (although not sure if it is compatible with L series..)

    Synergy 2...

The instructions are pretty good, it took me about 20 minutes. I mounted the unit onto the plastic box above the battery. I fed the longer wire under the inlet manifold and it really is all just common sense with the connections. Small cable ties keep all the wiring etc pretty much out of sight...

    Synergy2 for sale

It's still fifty quid off new, but offers welcome of course:) The broken clip really is a non-issue, a small cable tie does the job very well.

    TD4 sudden death

Word back is injector no 1 needed repaired and has now been done. Pick up this afternoon. Not sure what exactly went but should find out. One of the injectors failed last year and the symptom was just poor running, and not outright breakdown. I thought the engine would still run on 3 injectors?

    TD4 sudden death

Thanks guys - stay in East Lothian and was on way to Dunkeld:mad: Recovery have taken it to Paterson Diesel in Cowdenbeath, so outa my hands at the moment. Didn't have much option as free recovery only covers 10 miles and I needed to get north VERY urgently - otherwise would have looked around...

    TD4 sudden death

En route north yesterday on the M90 the TD4 died very abruptly, engine management light came on and I luckily managed to drift into a layby. A complete non- starter, so the recovery guy plugged in the code reader and it initially came up with a generic catalytic converter/lambda fault. It was...

    stuttering td4

Thanks, i'll check that connector out before I take it in for a diagnostic check later today. Edit - just WD40'd the fuel rail connector - may be sorted - no stuttering! Stupidly didn't fully connect one of the injector connectors but that's it hopefully. Will see if it runs ok tomorrow morning.

    stuttering td4

Mine's is doing the same, engine light flickering as it stutters on cruise, can you let me know which connectors you cleaned? thanks

    Td4 Lack of power at 70mph - fixed !

My TD4 is also doing that - exact symptoms as above. It does it from about 5 miles into the journey, lasts for about 3, then it clears. It will do the very same thing the next day, at same point in the journey. I also have a diesel leak (wet underguard under engine - not the leak off pipes as...

    TD4 - very regular missing/hesitation

Strange problem started last summer, ceased abruptly in Oct last year and has now started doing it again. Symptoms occur with clockwork regularity - after sitting overnight, about 6 miles into a journey, the car will hesitate whilst cruising and each hesitation will be accompanied by the...

    Drums/shoes

Thanks for the pointers - may try them, their prices look competitive. Are the cheaper drums worth going for, in anyone's experience? Might also invest in a haynes manual, or is the drum/shoe replacement as straightforward as these things can be?

    Drums/shoes

Can anyone recommend a good supplier for drums/shoes for a TD4 at a competitive price? Presume these are fairly easy to replace. thanks. B

    iPod for Freelander

Best option for me was to buy a £49.99 face-off player from Halfrauds, make sure it has an 'aux' plug and you simply plug the iPod into it -simple, and none of the issues associated with FM transmitters. Halfrauds charged about £20 for fitting and the only other thing I needed was an auxillary...
