    Customising is hell: 1) Pay extra for part, e.g. foot pedal cover (!) because it comes with official certificate from "TÜV" (they check everything here). 2) Fit part and go to local TÜV office so they can check it on the vehicle (pay again) 3) IF TÜV say it's okay - and sometimes they don't...

    Okay - "delivery van" - believe it or not Defenders have to be insured as "commercial vehicles" - "delivery vans" here in Germany - double the insurance :(

    Thanks for all the advice: @Kennymac: Lottery "new" - I have wanted my own Landy all my life :o))) After getting your replies I actually bothered to run the truck and crawl underneath to see if I could spot any problems and... TADA... the exhaust was badly aligned so it hit the rear driveshaft...
