Picked the goodies up today, 2x shocks, 2x mounts, new nuts and bolts, track rod ends and drop links. Everything sprayed with plusgas. Looking forward to Sunday!

I'm about to change both front shocks as the drivers side is goosed. Got some Monroe ordered, hopefully they'll be fine.. Anyway, as a precaution im changing the top mounts at the same time but I can't find the part number for the spacer that fits between the 3 bolts and the body in the engine...

Nothing quite that drastic Joe, although some days... I'd agree with your comments but on this occasion it was crap pads, they were breaking up and scoring the discs.

Hi Mike, would the motor housing fit OK? I hit a peasant the other day and both lugs have snapped of the housing, tried the repair on here but to no avail. Everything else is fine. Cheers Simon

So to cap this off before I go to bed. The MAF on a TD4 is not used solely to control fuelling but it does assist the ECU in determining the amount of fuel to be injected, so a duff one could cause black smoke, possibly. Just run it on pure veg oil then it'll smell like a chippy and no one...
