Getting a spruce up head gasket , timing belt etc , turbo feels a tad stiff so will put a new cartridge in! Did consider 300 but then this 200 tdi came up and couldn’t really say no

I’m converting my 90 to 200tdi but need the hard intercooler pipes does anyone no part numbers? It’s a defender 200 not disco and I can only find the pipes if your putting in a disco 200 . The bottom one is not really an issue as it’s just a straight pipe but top one is a bit more bendy

Good news !! Picked this up on Sunday Quick 6 hr round trip on mother’s day ! Had lunch booked for 12 so hit the road at 6am and made it to the pub at 12:05 So 200tdi project is under way just hoarding bits into my eBay basket

Strarted smoking badly when pulling people out of the snow !!! So thought it was time to do head gasket as it’s always been smokey on start up when cold but found it was worse than I thought once head was off

New sender fitted and it's working

Yeah it's actually a new one well few months , but it was a britpart one :eek:

fuel gauge stopped working , so put the green and black wire on sender to earth to check wiring and guage , the guage went up to half way so guess the gauge and wiring are ok that correct ? I then took the sender out and moved it by hand while it's still connected , guage moved up with sender...

It's pretty much standard the only bits that are uprated are steering arms , steering damper and shocks and springs, Got a good deal else they would be standard to.

Ok .... first prep of old paint doesn't matter how bad original paint is do not go mad on heavy grit, as you will spend longer trying so remove sanding marks as you will sanding slower with a finer grit !! I used 120 on da all over then assess bad areas ( corrosion , dents & scratches) I'm was...

Roof almost on what a f***ing nightmare getting doors aligned is especially with new rubbers!! It's about 90% there probably the same as original then! Also rear lights in .....had to do something else when getting to stressed with doors and roof
