    Right turned out there problem was a collapsed oil pipe and that was building up the pressure, but due to how long they left it they had completely screwed the turbo too. ;) hope that helps some one! Thanks for all the help Wappy

    Well thanks nicedayforit, soon as i pulled the sleeve off it was obvious that was the problem and tbh i think the previous owner had a go it was a right mess and all the wires were fastened in by a screw terminal wrapped in insulating tape (yellow and green) not something i think land rover do...

    the kits are quiet pricey could i just not solder them or grab a fuse box from another disco say a disco 2 and put that in instead. eliminating these little links?

    i've had a coffee gone back out and then had a look so see if there is any dodgy wiring! the car now starts. but i've done nothing here is what happened i turned the igniting the clicking started again but i kept the key turned then the hazard lights came on???? and then i header kicking in...

    well i can go down and buy a new set of gaskets and get them changed. its only £40, what would i be looking for (just a warn gasket) and change and its fixed? and is it acase of just taking off the rocker ect and working my way down?

    I was thinking that but with it taking 20-30 mins to start i would have presumed a problem with the pipes would be from the start.. But thanks the car will be here in the morning so i will check the pipes over then.
