Buy a new bracket and crank up the welder , if your welding isnt that good --- get someone that can to do it for beer tokens . But before you cut the old one off make some datum marks in the axle so the new mount goes back on in the same place :)

Made up a new gearbox cross member as it was shot and found another small hole in the chassis that im about to weld up , oh and waiting on my new prop to turn up .

Some visual guidence for ya :) Defender handbrake mount ( looking at bolts Number 3 ) Disco mount ( bolted from the side only ) . Both have the handbrake drum to the left of the pics . .

Check the handbrake mount as the disco one I have is mounted slightly different , have to drill and tap the tranny to fit your hand brake cable mount ( drum side ) . Just didnt want you to find out when its all in there and then go ahhh f**k it .... :D

Take the pipe off your turbo ( not the inlet ) and see how much oil is is in there , Id say the the turbo oil seals are passing oil . Id see how much oil is sat in the bottom of your intercooler too .

The only prob I had with my old V8 was when wading the belts used to throw water on my dizzy , until I made my own splash guard , never had a prob after that :) . ( never went deeper than just over the wheels stood still mind ) .

I took out my centre box the other week as it was fooked , put a straight section in place of it and it sounds fine , runs a bit better too :) , just do it it'll be fine :)

should be the same filter as a 19J one , Crossland 522 rings a bell but dont quote me - not till i look in my garage anyway ( very common filters , tractors use em and other farm stuff etc ) .
