The VCU unti is midway under the car. Its the barrel type thing in the middle of the propshaft. Picture here. I'm wonderin if your prop has been removed as its pretty hard to miss!

There is indeed a TSB for the gearbox damper, but its affects the TD4s and not the XEDIs. Thanks anyway.:)

Anyone ever replaced the engine mount by the battery on a 2.0L Xedi? Looking at the haynes manual it says to remove the wheel, splash guard, battery, starter motor, clutch slave cylinder etc etc!:eek: Do you actually need to remove all that to get this mount out?

The TD4 is certainly more powerful and probably more technically refined. But the 2.0L is a noisy reliable old plodder with a pretty good reputation.

Mine does it with the prop off too. I'm going to get it tracked once I've done the track rod end. But I have to say it never used to pull to the left and the problem has arisen pretty much the same time as the vibration got worse? I'm just wonderingif there is alink as 3 people (that we know of)...
