As the title says i need a intercooler anybody local that can assist would be great or any breakers near by that anyone knows of notts/derby :)

I also took it round the block to wether anything had improved or got worse and it just seems gutless the revs dont want to build up there's no power

Today's progress if you can call it that, I've taken the top of the fuel injection pump off where the boost pipe from the turbo goes to check to see if the pin was sliding in and out.It looked very crusty in there like limescale in a washing machine I took the rubber diaphragm off I'd tried to...

its a 200tdi if you go to page 1 the ebay link is there and it lists what the previous owner had done , ill have another play tomorrow

forgot to say its seems to be missing when trying to rev and like i said before the black smoke is concerning it has left a big carbon ring on the pavement where ive been trying to sort it , getting to the end of my tether with it

mmmm not sure what else to check, the turbo and actuator look pretty new so be surprised if they were at fault what else could it be ?could it have owt to do with the threaded bar that goes to wastegate not being adjusted right ?

No i aint done that will give it a go but shaft does spin freely ,i read somewhere that it could be something to do with the diaphram in the diesel pump ??where the pipe goes to the turbo to control boost is that a possability or am i barkin up the wrong tree?

Hi ,right ive unkinked the pipe for the oil return ,but i drove it for the second time today and theres no power the turbo aint doing anything. i revved it from the engine bay and i noticed the actuator rod wasnt moving at all ,ive checked all the hoses ive checked the turbo for play and there...

Went out side looked at it then walked back in shaking my head :rolleyes:

The pipe in question is the oil return pipe from the turbo ,but its in 2 pieces with a bit of rubber pipe to join them and that is kinked up because the pipes dont line up so its totally stopped the oil if that makes sense looks a right bodge job.what impact would this have ??

Thanks for the replies ,ill check what you guys have mentioned tomorrow and see if i cant un kink that pipe ,i know they aint quick but its laughable ,im happy with it for the price 6mths mot 9mths tax and there is a invoice back in 2008 for a 200tdi disco engine at a whoping £1400 lol
