It's a new one,magnetic. It came with the radio.I ended up sticking it on with silicone. If I were you I would use a screen mounted one.They work well here (Lincolnshire Woods) if you don't like ,it's quick to change. You won't have a problem around Nottingham.

I had a very similar noise.It sounded like something was chafing for a start.Then started a light knocking on acceleration with no noise when foot off the pedal. Changed the driveshaft problem solved.
