    Running problems already...please help.

Haystacks, I've ordered a new wiring loom for the injectors, about £41. My fault returned and it's the connection to cylinder 3. I've been told that this is quite a common fault and your description matches mine completely. Good luck with it, Andy

    Running problems already...please help.

I had this problem with my 03 Kalahari. It would run well for ages and then it would come back, sounded awful and no power. Over the last couple of weeks I could hardly use the car. I decided to change the air filter and put some injector cleaner in the tank. Hey presto, perfect. I drove it for...

    side steps

I have a Kalahari too. I just measured my sidesteps and they are 1.66m long. There are 3 mounting brackets on each and they are adjustable along the length of the step. Hope this helps.

    Dipped Beam....

It's possible that you had already lost one side and didn't notice, it only became apparent when the other filament failed. Get the bulbs out in daylight and check the filaments. My local Pound shop was doing a run on H4 bulbs. I've had them in now for over 2 months. Cheap way to check your...

    nearside side light not working

For the nearside bulb, I'm sure it'll be the connection within the bulb holder. With the lights off, remove the bulb and clean the little terminal within the bulb holder with a sharp edge such as a small screwdriver. Replace the bulb and it should work. Don't know about the hill descent thing...

    Reverse light has given up!

MULDERKE, I'd suggest you take off the lens covers and really check for corrosion within the bulb holder and the connection tip of the bulb. Once the wetter weather sets in it's easy for a high resistance connection to occur. It may well be that one lamp had failed already, but the problem only...

    Newbie with two questions...

Londontown freebiker's cure for your speaker is spot on. Support the speaker tag by holding it with long nosed pliers as you pull the connection apart. If it's corroded it can sometimes pull off the speaker. If it doesn't work, clean the connections again, mine took a couple of goes. My car is...

    Newbie with two questions...

Welcome, I've an 03 TD4 with nearly 180000 miles covered. It has mudflaps all round and no chips where you describe. I'd recommend making these your first purchase. My previous 99 Freelander had a non working speaker in the drivers door. I removed the door panel, (not too tricky) and found...

    Problems with locking/unlocking

NickDG This happened to me on my 03 TD4. Firstly, use your remote to check if the alarm is being enabled/ disabled. Although the doors may not lock/ unlock you should see the indicators flashing to signify that alarm is working. Assuming the alarm works then open each passenger door and put the...

    Brake lights

Most likely high resistance connection. Use a meter to check for 12 volt at connector with bulb removed, ignition on and brake pedal pressed. Alternatively, with ignition off, remove bulb and use a small, sharp screwdriver to scrape the bulb holder connection and the tip of the bulb; replace and...
