Vibration/grinding noise from my 90 help!!?

Had exactly the same issue with mine recently.. changed the rear prop and it sounded 1000 times better. Could have just changed the UJ's but wanted a spare prop anyway.

Ignition fault, bit of a tricky one!

what Tim said. Had a very similar issue with mine; sometimes it would start and sometimes it wouldn't. Got to a point where it was more that it wouldn't start. When I took the ignition switch off it was cracked at the rear so although the ignition lights came on the last turn just made the...

    Clutch slipping

Adjusted the clutch peddle yesterday, it was about 1cm out (15cm instead of 14cm) but it's still slipping. Just gone through the paper work and it had the clutch arm & pawl, push rod, thrust bearing but not the pressure plate or the clutch even though the company who did the worked advised that...

    Clutch slipping

I spent up buying a new ignition barrel and rear prop,so was just wondering if it's likely to just need a bleed so I can at least get to next pay day :)

Does the 19J have a starter relay?

Cheers Turboman.. issue resolved - it was the ignition switch, the old one was cracked and was obviously not turning.

    Clutch slipping

Well it seems it be one step forward two steps back with my 90 and I've only had it a month. Just when I thought I was getting somewhere after fixing the grinding noise (new rear prop) and sorting the hit and miss starting (ignition switch).. now the clutch is slipping. I've noticed some fluid...

    Help identifying ignition switch

Been having starting problems on my recently aquired 90 and I finally tracked it down to the ignition switch, so I order a new one for my make/model. I picked it up earlier but when I took my existing one out there is a difference. Mine has a metal half moon type hole and the new one has a...

Does the 19J have a starter relay?

Just been out again and it didn't start! However, it did start when I lifted the key and turned it... but that could be coincedence as it's done this before. So, I'll leave it again and try lifting the key again later. I take it when you say the ignition switch you mean the switch at the...

Does the 19J have a starter relay?

The haynes manual wiring diagram shows a starter relay for my year (1989). I did clean the earth strap from the start to the engine the other day and I've just noticed that the battery cut off switch wiring wasn't the best so I've just this minute connected the earth back to the battery...

Does the 19J have a starter relay?

I have already, but there is nothing on the inside of the fuse box cover to say there is one. There are three relays in there, one is the flasher unit and the other two I have no idea what they are, but they are both metal and gold in colour. I found another of these units behind the speedo...

Does the 19J have a starter relay?

Having an issue where mine occasionally wont start. I turn the key and there is nothing, no click or anything. It seems to be getting more where it wont start than when it will. Looking at the haynes manual is a bit misleading as at one point it states only a certain year onwards has a relay...
