I got mine from the LR centre in Speke Liverpool, iv just had a look for receipt to check cost but can't find it, I seem to remember that one was £40 and the other £50, I get good discount from them tho coz I'm always breaking something..... They do mail order as well.

Just replaced all the power steering hoses on mine and the metal unions had small rubber o rings on them, pretty sure you can buy them separate to the hose...

May be best to have a drive of both then make your decision.... Both 300 and td5 have pros and cons but for me at that budget 300 wins.:D

Id go for a 300TDI, with a bit of searching you'll find a good example well under budget.

I had similar leaks on one of my old discos, I removed my alpine lights and re fitted with lots of tiger seal, also found leaks coming from the roof rails and sealed them up to, only trouble I had was making good the corrosion around the alpine lights.

Best part was when we pulled up my drive I drove over the rope and lifted the front of the fiesta up.:D

Water pump and stat and fitted brass bleed screws, ready for a weekend of playing on my mates farm.:crazy_driver:

After already having one car stolen from my house in the past I've installed a pull up post at the bottom of my drive, seems to be a good deterrent.

I used my mates fiesta diesel and a rope to pull my disco about 6 miles... The fiesta did well but it's clutch didnt!
