    Gutters.. bit rubbish

Once upon time Land Rover had rain gutters that put the rain somewhere sensible rather then straight into the cab when you open the doors. Anyone here come up with a modification to put things right?

    Waxoiling my jeep

A lot of people call any 4x4 a jeep up here... even Land Rover owners. It can be a bit confusing sometimes.

Fixed a problem with the brake-light to loom plug that was playing up and fitted some hi-line brake-lights. All tickety boo now.

    Snow?

Thing is people with little or no experience of driving in snow see a bit of snow on the ground, think 'ohh, this looks like fun' and get themselves and others in trouble. It was the same with the flood water. It really doesn't matter how 'tricked up' you Land Rover is you can't defeat the laws...

    Snow?

I'm on the edge of the Cairngorms and we can have snow from November to March (there is now on the ground as I write) and it can get down to -20. Have to say I use AT's and they are fine. Obviously they can't defeat the laws of physics so they can slip around a bit but I have no problem driving...

    Bit of floor fixing, innit.

I think the trick is to find the person at your local council responsible for replacing road signs that have worn out, blown down or just need replacing and make a polite enquiry. Faling that you need a petrol driven disk cutter and a moonless night.

Ahh, Cheers. I'm very pleased with it. I fitted new carpets and wotnot since and it looks rather nice even though I do say so myself. They do like to rot there. I think its the steel in the lower seat brackets reacting. I use the LR for ferry my wee boys and their mates around a lot and it was...

This may be of interest to some of you here so here its is.. how to fix the load area to underseat pannel on a 110 CSW - something that is subject to rot, especially at the lip which supports the mid-row floor panne, and can leave your floor a little unstable.. The replacement pannel from LR...

Cut some new front and mid-section floor mats from a sheet of 10mm rubber safety matting. Insulating, sound deadening, nice and smart and a bargain!

    2005 110 no headlights

I would have a look at the switch. There is a copper pin that makes contact with another pin when you pull the switch leaver towards you that closes the circuit to make the headlights work. The pin can get warm, or worn, and recess a little too far into the casing that surrounds it, stoping it...

Went out, wiggled the loom a bit, wiggled the wire on the top of the starter - started first flick. turned off - wiggled again - started again.. started 10 times in a row. So its the wiring it seems. A job for the weekend. My sincere thanks to all you you for helping clear my head. You have...

    Help - please!

Yeah - that may be the end result - look like a good price too. Ill recheck the wiring tonight (if I missed a damaged wire I think it would explane the symptoms). Failing that I'm just going to remover the immobiliser. Rechecking the wire will help me determine how to remove it even if I cant...
