Mike arrived last night having being stuck on the motorway for other an hour due to two Rtcs. Cup of tea and then he went to work. 1.5hrs later we both went out and test drove the 110. Huge difference, lots more torque. It actually drives like a car which I was surprised and not expecting it...

It's very flat here, but Once a year I like to travel throughout U.K. Wales, Ireland. Currently it was Wales and those hills tested my 110! Reason for the remap. Anyone heard of turbo failures since having a remap?

Wammers isn't that with any vehicle mapped or not? Always around town you are going to use more fuel than on a long run. What attracts me to having a re map is gaining more torque so I can have less gear usage. Using more revs burns more fuel if driven sensible.

Well reading all the previous posts from members that Dynochip has done work on, it looks like the right thing to do, to get a little more torque and less revs/gear changes. Price has gone up to £250 instead of £225 though :) Are your LR's driving ok after months years of having it done? I...

Haha! To be honest it was recommended by Mike to have it removed as part of the remap. I only drive up to 70mph and only on motorways. The XS does feel very stable at that speed too. I drive very sensibly so I may hit the 30mpg if I'm lucky then!

That's good to know, I just want a little more power inbetween gear changes wanting less revs. I'm having the EGR valve turned off and speed limiter taken off. Has your MPG improved or worsened?

Hey guys thank you. I'll take it up there today :) Looks like I'm just paranoid then! Can someone please explain remapping to me? I hear this all the time but never had it done to any of my Land Rovers.

It's been a while! I have just got myself 110 XS 38k miles. I use to have a 90XS. I'm currently in Wales, lots of hills!! I'm finding that 5th gear is what is getting me up most of them. Is this normal? Also I'm not 100% sure but it feels like I'm driving with the handbrake slightly on. I'm not...

Ok update: juddering has got more noticeable, and have had one slip where the revs shot to 4000 when turning into bend on acceleration then back to normal. Is this the clutch that needs changing.

Update: Took disco to garage. The mechanic test drove it and stated nothing wrong with vehicle. Vibration is normal and not excessive at all. Gears change smoothly, no loss of power on flat or on hills. Mechanic will check underneath at weekend when it's booked in for a service. If it was torque...

It's under warranty. The only way to describe, it's like it's slightly revving higher and wants to go when stopped but not if that makes sense. How would you know if its what you say without changing it?

The last two days I've noticed strong vibrations when I come to a stop. It only happens when I've actually stopped with foot still on brake pedal and still in drive (at junctions/traffic lights) If I engage neutral the vibrations stop. There is no loss of power, gears change very smoothly...
