I’ll try and record it but it’s not very loud at all. It changes gear smoothly which is why I’m stumped.

It had a new clutch and bearing 12 months ago. I’ll have a look and see if it does it.

Anyone else that may suggest/guess, experienced this? I’d describe the spinning noise as a tinging than dry metallic.

No 2.4 Puma

No smoke when powering up, no loss of power and no leaks.

The last week or so I’ve been hearing a spinning noise when slowing down. I can hear the noise slow down with the tone of the engine. The noise isn’t loud but it sounds dry/metallic. Sometimes it doesnt do it at all. Gears change lovely, no knocks or bangs. Any ideas?

Wouldn’t thought it will be gearbox. It’s not a loud rattle, do the UJ’s rattle then? It doesn’t do it when it’s on idle. What part of the gearbox could cause a rattle?

Sorry, so does that mean it doesn't need to be physically blanked?

Any advice please. I've had my puma 2.4 remapped and had the egr turned off electronically on the ECU. Is that ok, or will I need to physically blank the egr as well, If so which is the best blanking plate to buy?

I've searched on here and I still have a fuzzy head. I think it's best if I ask what led headlights people have rather than ask which ones are the best. So what do people use and any links would be much appreciated? Thank you.

I don't have any diagnostics. Returned from another run or approximately 100 miles of very hilly terrain. The coolant hasn't budged and has remained stable. Thank you for your replies, it's very much appreciated.

Hi Chris, oil is absolutely fine and the garage stated the HG is good. They checked hoses and couldn't find a leak and oil which is a nice colour and te texture. The cap hasn't been changed though. I have read other Land Rover owners having a 1/2cm drop from cold level and it's remained there...

Thanks Lynall, I meant RAI for a 2.4 puma. I'm not driving into deep water at all. I was thinking along the lines of any benefits to the engines performance having cleaner air.
