id have 5 or 6 mm aluminium, but 3mm steel is thick enough with some supports to protect the steering, as any heavier and you will struggle to fit it

currently planning to do: diff guards Steering guard - for disco Tank Guard - For Disco and a front bumper with winch mount of somekind - For Disco Ill be using mainly 3mm steel, some 2mm in some areas

is it a rumbling loud noise you get? and what tyres are you on?

Its a crappy auto box though, sort of ruins it for rallying i could chuck a manual box in though i suppose :)

I had something similar in a 90, a rumbling at around 50mph, on mine it turned out to be worn out propshaft UJ's and i had to replace all of them which stopped the rumble. Give them a good grease on all 4 and then go for a drive and see if its any better. Peter

hehehe, its an auto, and ive decided the cheapest option was to buy a smart car, and just use the disco for the weekends where im working on beating your 80 miles to a tank of fuel juiceyv8 :D its now time to break out the lead foot and see if i can push the pedal through the bulkhead floor!!

Hi Guys Ive got my 3.9v8 and recently checked the mpg, im getting about 10, and thats driving very sensibly, im pretty sure that it should be slightly higher than that? or am i just hoping its meant to be higher? Peter

Mine has 3.9 on the plenum chamber and it runs off a 14cux injection system, so would it fit do you know? The kit i have removed cuts power to the ecu by breaking the two yellow wire going into the ecu, would this be the same wires on the newer disco running the same ecu? The ecu on the 93...
