Hi sorry about the vagueness, i need help with the breather pipes mainly, there are two outlets with rubber 90 degree joints on them, what do these attach to? is it the air box? or are the just breather pipes? Peter

yeah, i reckon my around town driving is getting me 22mpg ish in the 200tdi, and i dont mind paying a bit more for the sound of a V8 gorging itself on the contents of my fuel tank. The only thing im currently struggeling with is that the gearbox off the V8 is a range rover one which will not fit.

Can i reuse the 200tdi's engine mounts and just move them to suit the new engine? as ive only been able to get hold of an engine and gearbox instead of a donor. Also can anyone out there tell me if i can use the glowplug wire on the coil, if not which is the best wire to use? Peter

nope its not using any water or steam, i had the injectors checked and they are all ok and ive got the MOT tommorow...Oh dear

thanks andy, what about the radiator and cooling? or is it, remove everything from the range rover and fit into the engine bay of the 90?

Im looking at converting my 1987 90 from a 200tdi to a 3.5 litre V8 from a range rover. I know you can get the kits for it, but is there anything else that i will need and what needs modifying on the 90? Peter

Ive got a 1987 truck cab 90 with a 200tdi fitted in it. On start up it belches black smoke, which then turns to white smoke. I Took the oil filler cap off and revved it which created a suction in the rocker cover? any help would be good Peter

Thanks guys, in the end i wire brused it to shiny metal, removed the diff and drilled the hole out and tapped it and sealed it., but it kept leaking so after some more investigation, there is a second bigger hole. so im patching it with resin and metal plates.

Hi Ive got a 1991 Discovery 1 200tdi with a leaking rear axle, i wire brushed it to see where it was leaking from and found a tiny hole just off centre of the bottom of the pan, ive tried plating it and covering it with chemical metal, apart from having a new pan welded on, what other options...
