i've just changed out a starter solenoid as i was having the same problem, after charging the battery and attempting a jump start is still just "clicked". if you jumper the two terminals on top of the solenoid you should turn the starter motor, which proves if your battery still works. i used...

i'm just guessing here, but would it be possible to dismantle the 80" speedo dial and fit the mechanism out of the defender one?? i've had dials apart before, not speedo's though, they are a bit of a fiddle but they do come apart!!

Evening! just a quick question, i've doing a bit of re-wiring in a series 2a, it has been fitted with and alternator in the past but currently retains the voltage regulator. Am i right in thinking that the voltage regulator is now redundant? I'd like to take it out as i'm trying to tidy up...

i've managed to get a fair bit done over the weekend, made a start at removing the tubs on me lightweight and 2a so i can swap the roll bar from one to the other. discombobulated a fair bit of the lightwieght as well... .....until in angle grinded the tip of me finger...... :doh:

yeah, really dont know what i was thinking there!! :boom: which switch is bust? i managed to strip the dash one down and fix the broken bits, bit of a fanny on but i'm on a "get a landy road legal without spending any money" challenge!!
