well I ordered one from paddocks stripped mine today and it looks like new inside though, put in vice and it rocks slightly by a mm. cancelled my order-I only do 200miles a year so it should last��

I took them off and now have static hubs dom. any decent stock of props around these days or are they all blue box jobs?

well I just went through the exercise of fitting new hardy spicer ujs to front prop. back in vehicle with new bolts and I noticed I get a knock when pushing prop up and down, feels like it's bending in middle as if the splines in the sliding part are worn. is it new prop time or are the...

if u turn key and everything cuts out I would suspect something is going straight to ground.

means either that connection is loose causing a high resistance and heating up or that cable is grounded out on the bellhousing/bulkhead at back of engine....or your starters shorted out to name a fee :-/

I can select 4wd by pushing lever down, when I go from hi tom low and back again it pops up as it should. I know the tyre scrub noise you get if in 4wd from turning but this is a definite knock. just ordered some proper 3/8 x 1" unf bolts for engine mounts so will report back with findings

um not sure about that because my yellow lever pops in and out ok with selection of high/low etc. easy way to check if it's stuck?

what's the official engine mount to chassis bracket bolt size guys, looks like a smaller metric one is in place at moment which may be causing some movement!

been getting a knock on full turn, feels like a knock/pop/thud from behind bulkhead near my feet. new swivels, bearings, HD steering arm and track rod arm with new ends and it's still there. steering box and relay have oil in them... what else gives a Klonk from steering cause I'm bamboozled...

standard should be ok but I have upgraded to the lucas sports coil for better spark (opened my plugs to 1mm) simple resistance check of your coil will tell you condition

fitted new UJs to me front prop, new front axle oil seal (old felt one had given up)

hmmmm my front axle may be too far over to the offside..

mine were locked until I fitted new bottom springs, its what stops the shoes falling against the drums...a good long chamfered edge will help also.

good place to start is lift drivers seat and check filler hose banjo clamp, they rot well and then leak. other than that it should be quite evident with wet staining in top of tank if sender or take off gaskets are leaking
