    cheers chaps, gave her a foam soaking then blast followed by jizer and blast, got most of it off so clean enough to strip now, kept gun away from crank and dried it quickly with compressed air after washing followed by covering with wd40.

    finally got 200tdi on engine stand ready to pressure wash, question- I won't squirt directly on crank but I can't protect it from water ingress with flywheel housing removed. will it hurt or should I put it back on engine crane and attach flywheel housing before washing?

    converting my 2.25 petrol to a disco 200DI soon chaps. my current tank has no facility for a spill return connection. instead of tapping the tank, I was thinking of Tee'ing it into the fuel fill vapour/breather line on back of tank.... Thoughts?

    if your leaf spring bushes are worn you will get axle movement which will cause it to wander. I changed my swivels, track rods and drag link and found my s3 was still wandering....changed bushes for polys and found originals were well shot-drives straighter than a tank now. steering box...
