    Carb type confirmation....

Good shout on the jets, not a great deal of difference, but like you say might as well get them correct whilst its stripped down. The air filter is connected as Hicap Phill says with a plastic type elbow.

    Carb type confirmation....

Will do. The throttle cable arrangement, done presumably when the new engine was fitted, is a right old lash-up, proper health robinson so that will be sorted at the same time.

Cheers, Managed to decipher the tag, seems it is a 32/34 dmtl from a 2.5.

    Carb type confirmation....

Hello All, I'm the new owner of a 1973 petrol SWB pick up (couple of pics in the intro section) having collected it last weekend. It's now time to address some of its short-comings and hoping someone can confirm a few items for me? 1.I'm aware it has had a new engine fitted, with the engine...

    A re-introduction........

Not a huge amount that I can see, the usual leaks and the gearchange was somewhat of a lottery - particularly 1st & reverse. New gearstick washer and reverse gate springs have sorted that though. It has a strange frankenstein type throttle linkage affair that looks like it's been lashed...

    A re-introduction........

Hello, Thought I'd re-introduce myself, as I previously registered when I was looking to buy a Landrover a couple of years ago. Things didn't quite work out as I hoped and I had to put it on the proverbial back-burner for a while.............however, now a proud owner of a 1973 Series 3 swb...

    Hello - I'm new here.....

Thanks both for your comments. There was always a small niggle that the 110 would be too big, so your comments on load space in the 90 is very helpful and good to know, as seats in the back are a must for me. Budget is going to be somewhere in the region of 7.5 to 10k, but realistically...

    Hello - I'm new here.....

Still a little bit up in the air at the moment being honest. Have really wanted it to be a 110 for a long time, but then I keep looking at 90's - but there is still something about the 110 that draws me back! It's just going to be something that catches my eye I think, but then again, the really...

    Hello - I'm new here.....

Hello everyone, my name is Richard and have recently joined. I'm landrover-less at present, but hoping to buy in the near future (just waiting for an expected payout to come my way :D). I've been wanting one for a number of years now, but the usual things kept getting in the way (kids, work...
